If you don’t know what I mean by that, it’s when people say stuff like-

"that’s gay." or
"you’re gay for doing that." or
"you like anime?! That’s so gay!" .etc

I hear it about everyday and it annoys me a lot. I’m not gay but still, for most people who are gay (and I know a lot of people who are) that’s very insulting. And why does gay have to be bad now-a-days? The definition of gay is happy so I’m confused. :?
Usually I hear guys say it. Not saying that girls don’t say it either but we need to stop using gay as an insult.

I think I made my point. =w=

I hate it when people do this. :X I remember that when I was a moderator on a forum for another site we had some guy come in and he used the word "gay" as an insult to some of the people who simply said that they just didn't agree with his opinions. He was banned from that forum pretty quickly (though not just for that incident). :|

It's called free speech. And if you want real equality you need to stop getting offended at everything. A world with peace and without hurt is one that can't be offended.

ok I feel like a fail whale now (should not type past my bed time).... ironicly I was somewhat focused on the start of your comment. anyway there's no such thing as a world with complete peace and without pain, its the equivalent of the philosophers stone. but anyway. like I said, its not about equality as it is more about discrimination... and also people use "free speech" to freely which is also a quirk in itself

its not about equality so much as its about discrimination. that means I could use words relating to you in some way as an insult and that would be called "free speech". doesn't seem right does it. free speech is great but shouldn't be abused. its like the second amendment worshippers in america saying they have a right to own really big guns(they do but its just as outlandish)

One time during history class. My teacher overheard somebody saying "You're gay" and she told the student that she has friends and close neighbors who are gay and of course, she was offended.
